Sue Courtney

Mrs. Courtney was born and raised in Southern California. After graduating from Downey High School in 1978, she went on to college. Her first career was in marketing and outside sales. She met her husband, Randall, while he was in the Navy and stationed in Long Beach, CA. They married in 1990. They have two children, a daughter and a son. Their daughter attended SFSCS from kindergarten through 8th grade and is currently a junior at Downey High School. Their son is in first grade at SFSCS. Together they own and operate The Copy Center in Santa Fe Springs.

Mrs. Courtney is a member of Florence Avenue Foursquare Church and serves on the worship team playing piano, singing and leading worship for various events. She also sings in an ensemble. She loves playing volleyball every Tuesday evening with her ladies’ team. She is an avid fan of anything in which her kids are involved. In her spare time she enjoys reading and Sudoku.

Mrs. Courtney has been working at SFSCS since 1998. During that time she has worked in daycare, as assistant to the administrator, receptionist, registrar, music teacher, choral director, performing arts instructor, cheer advisor, worship leader for junior high and elementary chapel, junior high girls’ basketball coach, and junior high and elementary girls’ volleyball coach.
