About Art Masters

Art Masters is an innovative, hands-on approach to teaching art. It incorporates art history and styles of art in a lively, multi-media study of the "masters of art."

Each year students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade learn about six artists, such as Cezanne, Monet, Homer, VanGogh, and Picasso. The curriculum currently includes 36 artists.

Students learn about the life and art of each master through a slide-show presentation, lecture, and role-playing.

Each class then meets with the art instructor, who leads them through an art project using the medium of the master they have studied.

Students are enthralled and parents are thrilled with what they're learning. Samples of student work are regularly displayed in the Library for parents and students to enjoy.
