Philosophy of Discipline

A Reputation of Discipline
Our school enjoys a wonderful reputation in our community for how well-behaved and pleasant our students are.

We take great pride in this as we strive to teach our students to both honor God and respect others in every aspect of their lives at school and at home.

A Practice Based on the Bible
The goal of all discipline is to develop patterns, habits and choices which result in behavior that is pleasing to God.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

The Goal of Discipline
That the child might develop a life-style in conformity with God's Word.

The Facts of Discipline
It's "training that molds character" and reveals love (Proverbs 3:12). Discipline is not punishment; punishment is a process of discipline. Discipline motivates students to learn. Discipline teaches self-control. Discipline sets limits for the child's own good.
