3rd Grade has an exciting overnight adventure at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. The students spend the day learning about, observing, and touching a variety of marine life. Then they roll out their sleeping bags to spend the night, surrounded by dimly lit aquariums. It’s an experience they won’t soon forget!
4th Grade students participate in one-day trips to Santa Barbara and San Juan Capistrano studying the missions as part of their history units. These trips enable the students to experience the culture of our early California pioneers.
5th Graders fly to Sacramento for a visit to our State Capitol. This venture provides the opportunity to see the state government in action. The students tour through the local historical landmarks, which bring to life their classroom history lessons.
6th Grade students set off for a week-long nature study camp where they learn about the Creator through His creation. This experience sets the stage for tying scientific principles to God’s Word as they incorporate lessons learned in science and Bible classes.
7th Graders set sail for a five-day island adventure in Catalina to study Oceanography and Marine Biology as part of their science curriculum. This week includes hands-on experiments, research, and scientific journaling as well as kayaking and snorkeling in the picturesque lagoon.
8th Graders travel by air to Washington, D.C. for a twelve-day historical tour of the east coast where a guide and motor coach await to transport our students back to the days of our Fore Fathers. Their history book comes to life while visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Washington, D.C., Gettysburg, Amish Country, Philadelphia, and New York City.
